Donate through your salary

Payroll Giving is a simple way to make a regular donation to Action for Children straight from your salary.

How it works

Signing up to give through your salary is easy – all you need to do is fill in an online form.

Every time you're paid, your payroll department will deduct the agreed amount from your salary – you don’t need to do anything else.

Payroll Giving is one of the most tax-effective ways of giving to charity, because your donation is deducted from your gross pay before tax. So, if you agree to give £5, as a basic rate tax payer you’ll only pay £4 – the taxman makes up the remaining £1.

You donate:

It costs a standard rate tax payer (20%)

It costs a higher rate tax payer (40%)

How your regular donation helps

£5 a month could pay for a case worker’s time to help a child in crisis.

£10 a month could pay for emergency overnight accommodation for a homeless child.

£15 a month could keep a specialist project open for children in urgent need.
